Dear Families,
Thank you to all the families who attended our Meet the Staff event at the Parish Festival. It was so great to welcome you all to the school. It was beautiful to see so many of our new families in the community.
Below is the UPDATED Parent Handbook. Please make sure you read it closely as there have been some updates regarding Parent Participation, Volunteer Code of Conduct and Expectations, and Class email list (Birthday invitations). If you require a hard copy, please email the office to receive one.

Parent Participation Information
Your OnVolunteer Portal will be sent out in a separate email! Please log in and become familiar with the format. If you see any tasks that require volunteers, please sign up at your convenience. Tasks will be added regularly, but please do not wait to start doing your hours.
K of C Pancake Breakfast
You are invited to come for Pancake Breakfast after the morning masses on Sunday! Come and help build community while breaking bread with one another!
Hot Lunch Orders
Hot Lunch order forms are now live!
Order form closes on Tuesday, Sept. 19th at 10:00 a.m.
No late orders are permitted as we have to get orders to the vendors.
Cash payments are to be sent to the office. Don’t forget to label with your child’s name!

Thank you to our Grade 4s for the assembly today! We participated in the Terry Fox walk at school! What great weather we had! We pray for those in our community who are affected by cancer.

Making Sense of Anxiety in Children & Youth
Registration is now Open!
5 Thursday Evenings starting September 21st | 7:30-9:00 PM
Zoom Webinar
The escalating level of anxiety in our children begs for an explanation as well as a solution. Dr. Gordon Neufeld sheds light on this age-old problem, paving the way for natural interventions that can actually get to the root causes as opposed to just managing symptoms. Although the focus is on children, this enlightening material will benefit anyone suffering from anxiety.
As we enter into a new school year, the Archdiocese of Vancouver is pleased to one again be offering Making Sense of Anxiety in Children and Youth, a Dr. Neufeld video course with discussion facilitated by Kevin Bredeman M.A.

Games Club – Grades 5-7
Games Club is starting up again for Grades 5-7! Friday afternoons from 3-4:30 pm in the Annex.
When picking up your child after the gates are closed, please use the pedestrian gate in the parking lot. This will be unlocked. Permission slips need to be signed by a parent to allow students to stay.
Photo Day – Wednesday, Sept. 20th
A notice went home regarding Photo Day on September 20th.
All students need to come to school in their full uniform that day. No gym strip allowed.
Spirit Wear on Hot Lunch Days
On Hot Lunch days, students are allowed to wear Celtics Spirit Wear with their uniforms. This is any of the “We are Celtics” shirts and hoodies purchased last year.
Our first Hot Lunch is on Wednesday, Sept. 27. This month, it is also our Celtics Day (non-uniform day), we will allow students to wear non-uniform bottoms with their Celtics Spirit Wear. If your child does not have any Spirit wear, they can wear any green tops.
We will do an order of Celtics Spirit Wear soon! Stay tuned for the dates!
Orange Shirt Day – Sept. 28
Students are invited to wear an orange shirt/sweater with their uniform on Thursday, Sept. 28th.
This is NOT a non-uniform day.
