Dear Families,
Happy New Year and Welcome back! I hope you all had a restful break. In catching up with everyone this week, I think the response I heard the most was, “It was different”. It was indeed not the same hustle and bustle that my family is used to, but under the circumstances, we were able to celebrate and enjoy our time together as a small unit.
This Sunday’s Gospel reminds me of God’s role as a father. At Jesus’ baptism, His voice comes down from heaven and gives His approval. Just as we may seek our own parents’ approval, I often also look at my own actions to see if it would be pleasing to our Lord. At the end of our time, when we are ready to be welcomed by God, will He be pleased with what we have done?

What’s New?
Catholic Schools Week (Feb 8-12)
We would like to showcase the reasons why you have chosen to send your child(ren) to St. Patrick’s! Please send us an email or a letter to share with current and prospective parents. We will share them on the school website. Feel free to add a family picture if you would like.

Virtue of the Month: Responsibility
Our virtue this month is responsibility. This is in keeping with all the new year’s resolutions that are being made in January. There is a bingo sheet that students can fill in for a prize. Please have your child fill in as many squares as they can. Participants will get a small prize and their name will be put in a draw for a gift card. Bingo cards are due back on Friday, Jan 15.

Custom St. Patrick’s Face Masks – Order 1 mask for $10, or 5 for $40.
Registration
We have had numerous inquiries about registrations for 2021-22 school year. We are in the process of updating the registration packages and will get them out to you soon.
Extra Clothes
The students are often coming in muddy and wet from recess. Ensure that your child is ready to go outside rain or shine! Please send an extra pair of pants, shirt and socks with your child. They do not have to be uniform pieces as they will only be used in emergencies.
Transition Students
A separate email was sent out earlier this week with Zoom links to meet with Mrs. Fonseca. These meetings are weekly occurrences and optional.
Please let the office know if you are not picking up material on a given Friday. Pick ups are between 9:30-2:30pm
Your children are welcome back at your discretion. At this time the CISVA has not given another intake date until further notice. Please give the office at least a 24 hour notice so that teachers can prepare for your child’s return. Thank you!
